Baptist Churches have church membership. This is because we believe that the final authority for the life of the church rests with all those who are members. We therefore publicly commit to one another that together we take responsibility for the life and welfare of the church and for many of the key decisions in church life.

Our church members appoint trustees to oversee the governance of the church. The board of trustees at Herne Hill Baptist Church comprises the Pastor, Elders and Deacons. Herne Hill Baptist Church is a registered charity (1153419) and our accounts are submitted to the Charity Commission.
